Overview

MusicianSpace is a platform for musicians, creators, readers, and collaborators. These Community Guidelines explain the standards we expect from everyone who uses MusicianSpace, including people who publish profiles, releases, events, links, media, updates, feedback, or otherwise interact with the platform.

Our goal is to support a community that is respectful, safe, transparent, and legally compliant. By using MusicianSpace, you agree to follow these guidelines in addition to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any applicable laws.

1. Core Principles

We ask everyone on MusicianSpace to follow these core principles:

  • Be respectful to other users, readers, and contributors
  • Publish honestly and do not mislead people about profiles, releases, events, images, or results
  • Prioritize content safety and user wellbeing over engagement or traffic
  • Respect intellectual property, privacy, and legal rights
  • Help keep MusicianSpace useful, welcoming, and safe for the whole community

2. Respectful Behavior

You may not use MusicianSpace to harass, threaten, abuse, or demean others. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Hate speech or content targeting people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or age
  • Bullying, intimidation, harassment, or sustained personal attacks
  • Threats of violence or encouragement of harm
  • Sexually explicit or exploitative conduct directed at other users
  • Doxxing, exposing private information, or encouraging others to do so
  • Impersonation intended to deceive, manipulate, or damage another person
  • Trolling or deliberately disruptive behavior that undermines community participation

3. Content Standards

All content shared on MusicianSpace must meet a basic standard of legality, safety, and relevance. You must not post, upload, generate, or publish content that:

  • Is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, or deceptive
  • Promotes self-harm, violence, terrorism, or criminal activity
  • Contains pornography or sexually explicit exploitation
  • Includes graphic violence or shocking material unrelated to legitimate artistic or journalistic context
  • Promotes dangerous practices as if they were safe
  • Contains malware, hidden code, phishing links, or other malicious material
  • Is clearly unrelated spam or low-value promotional clutter

MusicianSpace may remove content that is low quality, misleading, unsafe, or inconsistent with the purpose of the platform even if it does not violate the law.

4. Transparency Around Published Content

MusicianSpace helps creators publish public-facing musician content. You are expected to act transparently and responsibly:

  • Do not present drafts, announcements, or claims as verified if they have not actually been verified
  • Do not present staged, altered, or third-party images as authentic original media unless you have the right to do so and describe them honestly
  • Do not remove or obscure platform indicators designed to clarify authorship, source, or publishing status where provided
  • Review content before publishing it and correct obvious mistakes
  • Do not mass-publish deceptive, repetitive, or manipulative content

You remain responsible for everything you publish through MusicianSpace.

5. Safety and Responsibility

Because MusicianSpace content is public-facing, safety and accuracy matter. You must not knowingly publish content that:

  • Encourages self-harm, violence, or dangerous real-world behavior
  • Hides or misstates material facts in a way that could mislead readers
  • Makes false medical, financial, legal, or professional claims presented as expert advice
  • Encourages unsafe event behavior, harassment, or unlawful activity
  • Promotes scams, impersonation, or clearly deceptive offers
  • Targets vulnerable people with harmful health-related misinformation

If you publish public updates, you should independently verify key facts before publishing, especially dates, venues, credits, links, and claims that may affect other people.

6. Spam, Manipulation, and Platform Abuse

You may not abuse MusicianSpace systems or community spaces. Prohibited behavior includes:

  • Posting duplicate or repetitive content at scale
  • Using bots or scripts to generate spammy engagement or scrape data without authorization
  • Attempting to manipulate search rankings through deceptive publishing practices
  • Creating multiple accounts to evade restrictions or obtain repeated free benefits
  • Using misleading titles, metadata, or images purely to attract clicks
  • Interfering with the normal operation, stability, or security of the platform

7. Intellectual Property and Attribution

Respect the rights of creators, photographers, brands, and other third parties. You must not:

  • Upload images or content you do not have the right to use
  • Copy profiles, articles, images, recordings, artwork, or branded materials in a way that infringes copyright or trademark rights
  • Pass off another creator's work as your own original work
  • Use MusicianSpace to distribute pirated, stolen, or unauthorized content
  • Ignore valid takedown or rights-management requests

If you quote, adapt, or build on third-party material, make sure you have the right to do so and provide attribution where appropriate.

8. Privacy and Personal Information

Protect your own privacy and the privacy of others. Do not publish or share:

  • Personal addresses, phone numbers, or private email addresses without consent
  • Government IDs, financial data, or confidential account information
  • Private communications or screenshots shared without permission
  • Sensitive personal data used to shame, expose, or exploit someone
  • Information about children that should not be made public

9. Reporting Problems

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Community Guidelines, our Terms of Service, or applicable law, please report it to us at [email protected].

When possible, include relevant links, screenshots, and a short explanation so we can review the issue efficiently. Reporting content does not guarantee removal, but we do review reports and take action where appropriate.

10. Enforcement

MusicianSpace may take action when content or behavior violates these guidelines. Depending on the severity or repetition of the issue, we may:

  • Remove or restrict access to content
  • Issue warnings or require edits before content remains public
  • Suspend specific features or publishing access
  • Temporarily suspend an account
  • Permanently terminate an account or reclaim a subdomain

We may also act proactively where necessary to protect users, the public, or the platform, including urgent removals involving safety, abuse, or legal risk.

11. Appeals and Questions

If you believe enforcement was applied in error, you may contact [email protected] and request a review. While we are not obligated to reverse every decision, we will consider good-faith appeals and additional context where appropriate.

12. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes to the platform, community risks, legal requirements, or moderation practices. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised date.
